Gen Up Scotland - blog
Creativity has always been at
the forefront of all her projects and she has battled to stay
self-motivated during unemployment.
In 3rd year of Visual
Communication & Media Design, she discovered an appetite filmmaking
and dedicated spare time to learning the production process. Her filmmaking
career started with a film trailer for the Personal Project module and gave her
a taste of directing.
Since graduating from Abertay,
Aimie has been striving to gain more experience on local film productions as a
runner. Recently, she competed in the intense Dundee 48 hour film project. Even
the 5am starts did not faze her because the experience was amazing, the team
were dedicated and the final film looked beautiful.
Her ultimate aspiration, after
working in the television, is to start her own production company. Focused on
creating quality programmes and offer students work experience opportunities to
help springboard new talent into the industry.
